Our vision for health, safety and the environment
Serimax is committed to fostering a safe and healthy workplace and minimising its impact on the environment. To make sure we stay true to this commitment, all Serimax employees follow a clear set of principles:

identify all HSE hazards and management of the risks to an acceptable level
- prevent all incidents; to people, property and the environment
- comply with all applicable HSE legislation
- demonstrate clear management involvement and open communications throughout the organisation
- promote a culture in which all employees share this commitment
- set targets for improvement and measurement, appraising and reporting on performance
- use materials and energy efficiently, and reduce waste generated
- continue to improve HSE performance
Incident Free philosophy
Our Incident Free goal is adhered to by all Serimax employees, contractors and visitors. More than simply a priority – it is a shared value and responsibility that we are committed to across every level of the organisation. At a practical level it translates as zero tolerance of unsafe acts, conditions and equipment, and zero tolerance of failure to report HSE-related incidents.
The level of management commitment towards the Incident Free programme can be seen in this series of practical measures:
- incident free workshops – attended by every single employee to make sure they have an equal understanding and knowledge of our incident free philosophy
- a two-step communication system consisting of teams made of a cross-section of personnel in each region – each team meets once a month to discuss, report and develop HSE strategies. The teams include a Corporate Safety Team of 11 senior managers; eight Local Safety Teams across all of our active regions; and Zones, of which every single employee will be a member
- an internal request system with a robust close out process has been developed and implemented – this allows all Serimax personnel, contractors, visitors and clients to report or request any HSE related issues that they may encounter on any Serimax site or project. We actively encourage all personnel to complete these requests in order to promote continual improvement in our HSE.
Quality Management
Quality and Quality Management at Serimax extends well beyond an ISO 9001 certificate and endless volumes of procedures.
It has become the organised can-do interaction between its employees and its clients - the listening, the developments and the timely delivery to mutual goals and standards.
Quality at Serimax is about people’s abilities and dedication, their know-how, or 'le savoir faire'. It is the spirit in which we work together to make the most challenging assignment possible. And to help our global clients operate even more efficiently, we are implementing an action plan to align local quality performances worldwide.
Quality Management is alive and well, and not simply words on paper – although we are happy to send you a copy of our certificate.
