The Serimax website has been designed to make it as widely accessible as possible so that everyone, regardless of ability, can use our site. This page gives information on features included within the site.
The majority of pages are WC3 A compliant. Where Macromedia Flash content is used, we have used the technology's accessibility features possible.
All pages validate as XHTML 1.0 Transitional.
All pages use structured semantic markup.
We have used a common accessible design throughout this website rather than providing text only pages for disabled users.
Although our business is largely technical, we have tried to minimise the amount of jargon, and use plain English.
Wherever possible, links are written to make sense when read out of context. Many browsers (such as JAWS, Home Page Reader, Lynx, and Opera) can extract the list of links on a page and allow you to browse the list separately from the page.
We have not used frames throughout this site.
Where we have used graphics, pictures and images which add meaning to the page we have included text descriptions ('Alt-Tags'). Alternative text for images used for decoration are left blank. No information is exclusively conveyed using colour.
A sitemap is available to provide information about the structure of the website.
