Serimax: offshore welding and marine welders

Serimax

Offshore

Our offshore services include the provision of equipment, line management, production and maintenance personnel, automatic and manual welding, development and qualification of welding procedures, and supply of maintenance.

The qualification process is increasingly important and enables us to adapt each job to precisely match the most stringent of client specifications. It includes the selection, qualification and procurement of the welding consumables, plus the eventual training and test of the welders.

Major project capabilities

In 2006, Serimax provided automatic equipment, technicians and welding consumables to install 822km of 42" and 44" pipe of gas trunkline as part of Langeled – the North Sea’s largest offshore pipeline construction. This is a testament to the professionalism of our offshore operations team, and our increasing ability to deliver world class offshore welding solutions on projects of any size.

Further afield, in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico and West Africa, Serimax has delivered a range of projects involving the installation of steel catenary risers. By their nature, these are fatigue-sensitive and so the welding specifications on risers which stretch from the seabed to surface-vessels are extremely difficult.

Saturnax welding equipment

The increasing use of automatic welding equipment in combination with our highly-qualified technicians and service regime enables us to consistently deliver high productivity in tandem with low down time and repair rates. When appropriate, we also have the capacity to provide manual welding with the same level of absolute professionalism and quality.

The Serimax strategy is to offer best-in-class welding equipment and highly-qualified specialist engineers and operators. With repair rates consistently lower than industry averages, we have benefited from repeat business from satisfied customers.
